About Mr. Segal’s Practice:
Mr. Segal has over 30 years’ legal experience, focused solely on personal injury. He has zealously represented people who have been seriously injured as well as the families of those whose injuries were fatal.

Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Segal worked as a judge’s law assistant in New York State. He also worked as a defense lawyer at an insurance company; he, therefore, has insight into the way a case may be mounted by the defense, expertise that served him well when he later joined a plaintiffs’ personal injury firm. He subsequently opened his own law practice.

He has extensive experience with victims’ rights, and he is empathetic and understanding, aware of the traumas that clients have suffered, which most likely have affected many important aspects of their lives. He understands what clients are going through and treats them with kindness and respect. He is tireless in his pursuit of justice for his clients.

Mr. Segal’s strengths are his discerning insights and strategic abilities. As a result of his skills he has obtained numerous multi-million-dollar recoveries for his clients. For example, he secured a recovery of $3.9 million for a family whose children were attacked by an intruder who had gained access to their apartment house because of inadequate building security. In another case, Mr. Segal secured a recovery of $3 million for a burn victim whose injuries were caused by the landlord’s negligence. Mr. Segal has also prevailed in other cases where he has obtained multi-million-dollar recoveries; some of these involved motor vehicle accidents, construction accidents, and falls.

Mr. Segal remains active in the legal arena and has served as an evaluator at the annual Student Trial Advocacy Competition sponsored by the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
